DIEFENBAKER HOMESTEAD

The Sukanen Ship and Pioneer Village Museum

has moved the DIEFENBAKER HOMESTEAD

from the Wascana Park to our site.

The homestead arrived at the approach to the village early at approx 1130 am

We worked and nudged and pushed and pulled to get the homestead into place.

Then about 4 pm the homestead was settled and resting in place "looking" around at the new home.

Meanwhile "Uncle Ed " was prepped for journey to the museum in the following days.

By Dec 5 "Uncle Ed" was loaded on the trailer awaitng his turn to travel to the new home .

On Dec 8th at about 930 am "Uncle Ed " left Regina and travelled down the road to Moose Jaw

Arriving at Sukanen Ship Pioneer Village and Museum by about 1100 am and by about 130 pm "Uncle Ed" was on

the ground.

DIEFENBAKER HOMESTEAD IS NOW SETTLED IN

On the afternoon of JULY 23 2005 was the grand opening of the

DIEFENBAKER HOMESTEAD at 1:00 PM sharp
