Henry Kampen Memorial Hall

formerly know as the "Rec Building"

biggerpicture

This building was originally built as a barn on Valleyview Centre farmland, thou unclear if it was ever used in this way. Brought to the museum in the summer of 1999 and added to, it was open in time for the Threshing Bee in that September. Square dancers, quilters, and a concession share the space at that time. This building houses other events as well on various occasions. This past season {summer 2005}has seen some major renovations {still ongoing to be done for spring 2006}take place in the hall. We have added a new addition to the north side of the building to house washrooms and a shower area for the members also there is a library for museum reference manuals and more storage for hall items to allow more visitor space and also a portable stage area is being talked of.
